GATF prize for BC’s SPLOX
The Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF) gave Boise Paper Solution’s SPLOX™ speed-loading box design a 2004 InterTech Technology Award for new technology predicted to have a major impact on the graphic communications industries. One of the independent panel of judges said he expects the SPLOX paper delivery system “to have a notable impact on the quick-turnaround digital print centers.” The design is expected to reduce strain on the spine by up to 51% when lifting boxes of paper. The handle helps to reduce lower back strain by up to 72%. The patent-pending paper delivery system holds 2,500 sheets of paper (five reams) per box and weighs only 25 lb. www.gain.net; www.BoiseSPLOX.com. PI |
