L&W compressive strength tester has strip feeder

The L&W compressive strength tester STFI is a new instrument for the short-span compressive testing (SCT) of liner and fluting.

A new feature is the automatic strip feeder that moves the test strip forward after each measurement. Test strips can be measured without operator intervention. The test cycle takes 1-1/2 minutes to make 20 measurements.

An integrated moisture sensor corrects the compressive strength so that it can be used directly at the paper machine. The instrument can be set to free spans shorter than 0.7 mm so it can be used to measure the compressive strength of lowgrammage liner and fluting. PI Lorentzen & Wettre, www.lorentzen-wettre.com
