QMI’s manager appointed to FRA board

The Forest Resources Association (FRA) appointed Guillaume Gignac, QMI product manager, forest products sector,  to its board of directors and vice-chairman of the FRA’s international committee.

“I have been involved with the FRA for the past 10 years in one capacity or another. To be asked to participate as a board member and to contribute to this great association and the forest industry is certainly a privilege and an honor,” said Gignac. QMI certifications for the forest industry include ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, CSA Z808, SFM, SFI, RC 14001 and RCMS.

FRA president Richard Lewis noted, “Guillaume brings a very high level of Canadian, US and international forestry experience to the FRA board of directors. We highly value his input on domestic and international projects and issues.”

The FRA is a US-based national trade association that promotes the interests of forest product industry members in the economical, efficient and sustainable use of forest resources to meet the needs of the wood fiber supply chain through private enterprise.
