PPMA elects Wirch as new president
The Appleton, WI-based Pulp and Paper Manufacturers Association (PPMA) elected John Wirch as president at its 2009 annual meeting in September. Wirch is vice-president human resources for Little Rapids Corp., Green Bay, WI. The company owns Shawano Specialty Paper, Shawano, WI, which manufactures dry crepe tissue, machine-glazed and wet crepe papers. The papers are converted at the Little Rapids plant into products under the Graham brand, for the health-care and beauty industries Two new members were also elected: Mike Carpiaux, HR manager of the Georgia-Pacific Green Bay Day Street mill, and Eric Nyberg, HR director for NewPage Corp.’s Stevens Point mill.
