PFE offers custom calender rolls
Orange, MA-based PFE Rolls, Inc. says its Calender rolls ensure a quality web finish with precision nip pressures applied to any variety of substrates. PFE calender rolls are used to produce many unique paper finishes including vellum, eggshell or English. The amount of pressure applied between calender rolls can be set to obtain specified smoothness tolerances. Rollers can be designed to custom specifications using any material, finish or surface treatment to meet particular tolerance, diameter, length, strength and speed requirements. Rolls may be either solid or single- or doubleshelled for heat transfer capabilities. Rolls may be of welded construction or be shrink-fitted with mechanical seals.
