Geomembranes solution for mill lagoons, landfill and surge ponds
Western Tank & Lining, Richmond, BC, recently built a surge pond and lagoon for a major western pulp/paper mill using HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) geomembranes and GCL (Geosynthetic Clay Liners) designed with a life expectancy of 20 years. The project, involving both covers and lining systems, employed highest quality resin blended with prime grade carbon black, UV stabilizers and antioxidants to ensure the liner product’s long life. Geosynthetic products are installed by simply rolling the product down a slope. Drainage geocomposites provide excellent long term hydraulic performance and creep resistance to ensure the leachate collection system will continue working over the life of the project.
