TMEIC GE introduces TMdrive-10e2

Roanoke, VA-based TMEIC GE has introduced the TMdrive- 10e2TM to its family of TMdrive® AC system drives. TMdrive-10e2 drives provide a reliable, lowmaintenance, energy-efficient, cost-saving solution suited to applications within the pulp and paper, materials handling and metals industries.

The TMdrive-10e2 features state-of-the-artmicroprocessors - including floating-point calculation, enabling higher processing speed and communications - and simple-tounderstand per unit calculations.

The company says that the TMdrive-10e2 low-voltage, IGBTbased system drives offer higher power in a smaller footprint and at lower cost than the original TMdrive- 10 drives. TM-10e2's robust design uses heat-pipe cooling technology to lower the required cooling air-flow and audible noise.

Multiple LAN options include TCnet I/OTM, Profibus-DPTM, DeviceNetTM, Modbus RTU, Ethernet Global Data (EGD) and ControlNetTM for seamless integration between new systems and legacy equipment. Optional I/O modules allow standard I/O to be expanded. Built-in safety features according to ISO 13849 (Category 3) and IEC 61800-5-2 (Safety Integration Level 2) standards improve reliability and mitigate risks.

TMEIC GE is a joint venture between TMEIC (a joint venture between Toshiba & Mitsubishi Electric) and General Electric in the industrial drive systems business. PI TM GE Automation Systems, LLC, www.tmeicge.com
