Ahlstrom received the award in the Nonwovens Roll Good category, recognizing the advances Disruptor(TM) nonwoven technology brings to nearly every segment of the water filtration industry.

Disruptor(TM) technology utilizes nanoalumina fibers having a positive electrokinetic potential that enables a nonwoven media capable of filtration efficiency equivalent to that of polymeric membranes, but without sacrificing pressure drop, flow rate or loading capacity. Disruptor can be used in a wide range of water filtration applications, including point of use and point of entry filters, boiler and chiller water as well as prefiltration to reverse osmosis membranes.
