Gardner is PIMA Exec. of Year
Mark Gardner, president and CEO of Sappi Fine Paper North America, is TAPPI/ PIMA's 2009 Executive of the Year, PIMA's highest recognition for leadership and management. Under Gardner's leadership, fiscal year 2008 was SFPNA's most profitable in eight years; it had the best-ever safety performance, set production and efficiency records at its coated fine paper mills and attained strong sustainability performance. Gardner joined SFPNA in 1981 and has served as VP manufacturing and VP supply chain. Previously he was production manager at Westbrook, paper mill manager at Somerset, managing director at Muskegon and director of engineering and manufacturing technology at the Boston office. |
