Remke MC cable connector has mill applications Remke Industries, Wheeling, IL, has a new line of MC cable connectors which, the company says, have features unique in the armored cable connector market. The PowR-Lock grounding seal is an exclusive Remke design that features stainless steel tines that ground the connector to the armored cable. It provides 360-deg. strain relief and an environmental seal that meets or exceeds UL and CSA requirements. One-piece compact design is also a feature. The smaller profile and width compared with other connectors provide easier installation in tight spaces and close spacing of connectors. An embedded VitoŽ O-ring ensures a watertight and corrosion-resistant termination seal. MC cable connectors meet CSA standards for rain-tight armored cable fittings, are rated NEMA 4 and IP 65 and are available in aluminum, nickel-plated aluminum and stainless steel to meet a wide variety of applications and cable The MC cable connectors enable users to
terminate armored cable at control centers and panel boards, junction boxes
and enclosures for motor control and electrical distribution
equipment. The connectors can be used in applications in pulp and paper Remke says that no disassembly is required
which makes installation simpler and faster, and a neoprene bushing provides
superior pull-out and sealing protection. There are no sharp edges to damage
insulation or conductors. The connectors can be used indoors or outdoors for
vertical or horizontal cable runs in either wet or dry locations. They are
suited for hazardous locations when used in combination with a Certified
Class I hazardous location sealing fitting. PI |
