BTG upgrades zeta potential system

In June this year, BTG introduced a new test cell providing maximum measuring precision for the Mütek™ SZP-06 zeta potential system.

Compared to the traditional test cell, the new version incorporates some decisive changes: both electrodes now consist of a high-grade platinum alloy that is extremely resistant to chemical and mechanical stresses. In addition, the electrodes are exactly defined in terms of geometry and surface – a feature that offers long-term measuring stability. For paper stock suspensions of different consistencies, two different plastic screens are now available which are exchangeable quickly and easily.

BTG says the innovations are intended to meet customer wishes for a zeta potential measuring system combining maximum accuracy with ease of handling and cleaning whilst simultaneously opening up a broad spectrum of applications. PI
