Blue Ridge Paper chooses CHD Meridian Healthcare for on-site primary care

Blue Ridge Paper Products, Inc. has selected CHD Meridian Healthcare, an I-trax company, to operate an on-site primary care clinic and pharmacy at the Blue Ridge HQ in Canton, NC.
Blue Ridge produces liquid and coated bleached board for food service packaging, as well as envelope and specialty uncoated papers. Following a 10-month review of options by its Benefits Task Force, Blue Ridge turned to CHD Meridian to help rein in skyrocketing healthcare and insurance costs in a challenging paper market. The CHD Meridian facility will serve Blue Ridge’s 3,100 employees and their families, while containing the company’s costs.
The 2,800-square-foot facility will open by May 1 and will have three full-time and two part-time staff members, including one physician/medical director, a registered pharmacist/pharmacy manager and a nurse practitioner/ administrator. Employees can choose to use the new facility or to continue care with their current physicians.

CHD Meridian operates 160 locations in 32 states and maintains contracts with 90 leading employers to serve over 650,000 people.
