In the mills
Domtar has reorganized its Management Committee. Monique Martin, currently vice-president, sales & marketing for wood products, will join the committee as senior vice-president, wood products. 
In the PAPERS SEGMENT: George Kobrynsky, senior vice-president, sales, marketing and customer relations development; Roland Gagnon, senior vice-president, paper manufacturing operations (existing Domtar mills); C. Lance Skerratt, senior vice-president, Domtar merchants.
In the WOOD SEGMENT: E. Craig McManus, senior vice-president, forest resources; Monique Martin, senior vice-president, wood products.
In CORPORATE SERVICES: Christian Dube, senior vice-president and chief financial officer; Gilles Pharand, senior vice-president, corporate affairs, general counsel and secretary.
Also, Roger Brear, currently senior vice-president, manufacturing — paper with Georgia-Pacific Corp., will join Domtar and its Management Committee once the recently announced acquisition of part of Georgia-Pacific’s paper business closes in the third quarter 2001. Brear will be senior vice-president, paper manufacturing operations for the four soon-to-be-acquired mills in Ashdown, AR, Nekoosa and Port Edwards, WI, and Woodland, ME. 
Badger Paper Mills, Inc. has appointed Robert A. Olah as president and CEO. He served as president and CEO of Crown Vantage Corp., which he joined in 1995. Before that, he was vice-president and general manager and vice-president of sales and marketing for James River’s Specialty Papers Division from 1989 to 1995. Olah began his paper industry career with International Paper Company in 1978, where he held various sales and marketing positions. 
Folded carton maker Graphic Packaging International Corp., Golden, CO, has appointed Luis E. Leon as its new CFO to succeed Gail A. Constancio.
Georgia-Pacific has new appointments in its Wisconsin operations in Port Edwards: Kevin Heath is chip mill manager in the pulp and power production department; Cheryl J. Konieczki has joined as a senior accountant in the controller’s department; Matthew Markel is mechanical maintenance supervisor for Port Edwards; Belinda Niles has joined as a programmer for the consumer products’ common manufacturing systems group; Kirsten Quick is promoted to senior converting planner in the finishing, distribution and planning department. Also, G-P’s board of directors elected David J. Paterson executive vice president — pulp and paperboard responsible for containerboard, packaging, and market and fluff pulp operations. Formerly, he was president — paper and bleached board responsible for sales and manufacturing in the communication papers business, the stand-alone portion of which was recently sold to Domtar Inc. 
Dan O’Brien, senior vice-president, paper operations, Quebecor World was elected chairman of papiNet NA, the new group co-ordinating the involvement of North American pulp, paper and paperboard producers and customers in the papiNet international e-business standards effort (p. 1, Paper Industry, June 2001). John Balboni, vice-president of e-business, International Paper Co. is vice-chairman.
Boise Cascade has elected Nick Stokes as vice-president, operations, building materials distribution division, John A. Berilla has joined the company as vice-president, human resources.
Sappi Ltd. has appointed William Sheffield as the new London-based CEO of Sappi Fine Paper. Sheffield will also join the Sappi Ltd. Board. He was until recently executive vice-president of international operations and corporate development for Abitibi-Consolidated. Continuing in their roles are: Wolfgang Pfarl as CEO of Fine Paper Europe; Albert Lubbe as head of the South African Fine paper business; Monte Haymon as CEO, Sappi Fine Paper North America.
Rock-Tenn Company has hired vice-president of employee and organizational effectiveness Jodi Littlestone and vice-president of finance Tom King at its home office in Norcross, GA.
Fiedler, LP announced the most recent addition to their team, Tex Rhodes as their new Regional Sales Manager for the Westcoast Territory. Tex covers both the US & Canada West Coast states. Fiedler is a leading global supplier of screening related products and services, including screen baskets, rotors, pressure screens & cleaners.
Pope & Talbot, Inc. has appointed C. Douglas Eamer as vice-president of Canadian Pulp Operations responsible for Pope & Talbot’s Harmac and Mackenzie operations. Paul G. Sadler is general manager of the Harmac Pulp Operations. Eamer joined Harmac in 1971 and Sadler joined in 1981 and had been the production manager since 1996. 

Suppliers’ Moves
Markku Hanninen has been appointed president of Andritz-Ahlstrom Corp. based in Espoo, Finland. He retains his post as president of Andritz Oy in Helsinki. 
Sterling Chemicals Holdings, Inc. appointed Paul Timmons president, sterling pulp chemicals (SPC). 
Michael Anstey has been appointed vice-president of research and development for Buckman Laboratories.
Manufacturers’ representative Albee Associates, Inc. has hired Matt Oliver as its Maine man to cover that State’s papermakers and converters. 
Frank Lang has been named sales and marketing director for the US with responsibility for cut quality programs to the pulp, paper and converting industries, says Jorson & Carlson Co.
Bostik Findley has appointed Gretchen Sullivan as advertising and promotions manager for its industrial distribution group.
Kathleen Kono has been appointed ASTM’s vice-president, global co-operation.
Gilbert Brisson has joined Wall Colmonoy (Canada) Inc. as technical sales representative based in Windsor, ON.
Volker Traudt has been named head of bielomatik Inc.’s paper division in North America and Bill English is appointed vice-president of sales.
Ron Rodli has joined engineering firm Harris Group Inc. as CFO.
